Seal coating is the most effective way to bring your older pavement back to life and make it look vibrant again. It protects and extends the life of your asphalt by protecting the pavement from harsh elements such as UV rays, weather, grease, oil, gasoline, road salt and antifreeze. Water can seep into pavement that is not properly cared for, causing deterioration and upheaval of asphalt. Before seal coatings are applied, cracks must be cleaned and filled, and then potholes or other failed areas must be repaired. American Paving recommends sealing every 2-3 years depending on the amount of wear.
